1966 Dining Tables
Richard Schultz designed the collection in 1966 at the request of Florence Knoll, who wanted well-designed outdoor furnishings that would withstand the corrosive salt air at her home in Florida. Through the years, the 1966 Collection has earned a special place in the world of outdoor furniture and is considered a classic design for the garden. The 1966 Collection has also been chosen to be included in various museums, including the Permanent Design Collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York (MoMA).
Knoll has re-engineered the 1966 furniture collection to incorporate the best modern materials, including Teflon thread, welded sand cast and extruded aluminum frames with weather resistant polyester powder coat, woven vinyl coated polyester mesh and solid pure vinyl straps with stainless steel supports, and stainless steel connectors.
The 1966 Collection® Dining Tables can be customized with table top material and frame colour options. Select from clear or etched tempered glass, porcelain, teak or white fiberglass table tops. The cast and extruded aluminum frame is finished in a weather resistant polyester powder coat. Available in 6 different sizes.
