Lee Mindel received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University in 1976 after obtaining his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Architecture, at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for the New York architecture firms of Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill and Rogers, Butler, Burgun.
About Peter Shelton
Peter Shelton studied architecture at the University of Pensylvania and Pratt Institute where he received his degree in 1975. He worked for the New York firms of Edward Durrell Stone & Associates and Emery Roth & Sons prior to his founding Shelton, Mindel & Associates.
Peter Shelton and Lee Mindel removed mass, tweaked proportions and simplified lines to reinterpret the traditional banker’s chair, creating a contemporary chair that echoes the stance and stature of another era. The chair is exceptionally comfortable with a full, curved back available with or without an upholstered inner shell.
