David Weeks founded the award-winning David Weeks Studio in 1996. The studio produces modernist lighting and furniture lines for both residential and commercial spaces.

Over the past two decades, his product line has expanded from mainly lighting fixtures to a collection of upholstered seating, side tables and sculptural objects.
The Kopra Burst centers around a cluster of Boi shades, similar to the Kopra Cluster. Here, the balanced form expands from its central column with longer arms of varying lengths and a wider diameter. The column of powder coated steel shades is suspended from a steel drop, each shade rotating 320 degrees to direct light as desired.
